Sweet Rose Scones Recipe

Ingredients

1/2 cup white sugar

1/2 cup Water

1 tablespoon lemon zest

2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 cup vegetable oil for frying

10 large golf ball sized biscuits

Directions

In a small bowl, mix sugar and water; Stirring constantly, until the sugar melts and it is almost blended. That's about 10 minutes. Stir in the lemon zest until evenly coated. Roll the smaller of the biscuits into 3 5 inch balls and roll the balls farther apart. Apply patties to spare. Before placing patties in the pans, coat with extra lemon wine dip desired color. Fry patties on medium medium heat about 3 minutes browning them. Drain on paper towels, turning frequently, until golden brown. Serve hot or cold.
