Made with Pecan Syrup

Ingredients

Honey Nut Syrup Recipe

1 cup honey

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 1/4 cups vegetable oil

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese

1 1/2 cups chopped pecans

2 eggs, lightly beaten

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup chopped walnuts

1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/8 teaspoon milk

1 cup chopped pecans

Directions

In a small bowl, mix together honey, flour, baking powder, soda and salt. Stir into the pecans, and lightly press the butter into the center.

Press cream cheese into pecans as thick as possible, giving it the sheen of grit. Spread pecans on a serving platter.

In a medium bowl, beat egg and vanilla into cream cheese mixture until well combined. Beat in pecans, pecans and oil, pour over cream cheese mixture. Spread pecans on cream cheese mixture.

Stir together the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Beat in pecans and pecans; sprinkle over frosting.

Bake at 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) for 1 hour or until pastry is golden brown. With a larger serving spoon, spread cream cheese mixture over cream cheese filling.

I really enjoyed this recipe. I used a blend of two beans and added chicken broth. Turned off the automatic cooking mode and just let it simmer on the stove. Simmering it on the stove gave it that extra pop and flavor.

I really enjoyed this recipe. I dont usually make burgers at home but we liked these. Will try with Turkey next time.
