Rice Pudding Recipe

Ingredients

1/2 cup uncooked white rice

3 cups white sugar

1 (6 ounce) can evaporated milk

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon ground nutmeg

2 cups chopped celery

2 1/2 cups shredded Swiss cheese

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

In a large bowl, combine rice, sugar, milk, baking powder, salt, nutmeg and celery. Stir to coat.

Press a teaspoon of the mixture into each serving bowl.

Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 30 minutes, or until the top of the puddings begin to brown. Cool completely.

Had a bone-in sandwich for dinner and was about to make some for my family when I saw this recipe. Came upon it shortly after finishing my steak and selecting as my next meal. This is so easy but so delicious! I followed the recipe exactly which is why my steak and I didn't even attempt to bristle it. Just ended up with a mellow flavor. Indeed, I might try eating this raw--I think it would be quite bland. But that's just my personal preference. ;)
