1 cup unsalted butter
1 1/2 cups white sugar
3/4 cup white vinegar
2/3 cup evaporated milk
1 cup
1 (9 inch) prepared vanilla wafer loaf
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
Combine butter and sugar in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil and reduce heat to medium-low; simmer, stirring constantly, for 2 minutes. Stir in vinegar, milk, and vanilla until sugar is dissolved. Pour into oven and bake in the preheated oven for 50 to 55 minutes.
Pour mixture into 9 inch cake pan and chill before serving.
