1 1/2 cups imitation fruit spread
1 (3 ounce) package instant chocolate pudding mix
5 cups milk
1 cup pumpkin puree
In a medium saucepan, mix the fruit spread, pudding mix, milk, pumpkin and fruit in medium saucepan over low medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture thickens. Bring mixture to a full rolling boil.
Stir pudding mixture into whipped cream or custard. Cook a few seconds and pour mixture into pie shell. Chill in refrigerator until serving.
