2 tablespoons shortening
5 tablespoons molasses
1/2 cup distilled white vinegar
1 cup honey
1 tablespoon margarine
1 teaspoon honey salt
Heat shortening and 1 ounce of molasses in a large skillet over medium heat. Stir constantly until sauce begins to turn golden brown. Remove from heat, stir in vinegar, salt and honey horseradish. Serve hot or cold.
this is it! this is the best white sauce I have ever made. I usually use grape or purple Mustard, but this was fabulous! I have made this sauce before, but my mom doesn't like it so I made this in black olives. I will try this with other vegetables, but it was fabulous! Thanks!
