Basic Muffins II Recipe

Ingredients

1/2 cup butter

1 cup white sugar

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup all-purpose flour

2 eggs

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 cup white sugar

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened

1 cup milk

1/4 cup vegetable oil

1 (8 ounce) container sour cream

1 (3 ounce) can sliced strawberries

Directions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease muffin cups or line with paper muffin liners.

In a large bowl, cream together the butter, sugar, vanilla and flour until smooth. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then mix in the flour mixture. Beat in the milk and oil; stir into the creamed mixture until well blended. Pour batter into prepared muffin cups.

Bake in preheated oven for 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into center of the muffin comes out clean.

describing the recipe as 'fail' it was adequate but i havn't made any changes as it states. i did change the amount of broth, used light sour cream, and added garlic powder. i also omitted the spring onions and added another table spoonful of minced garlic. this gave it a nice umami flavor. but could definitely use a bit more.
