My Doughnuts Mix Recipe


1 cup margarine

1 cup white sugar

1/3 cup all-purpose flour

3/4 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 egg

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 cup chopped pecans


Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease two 9 inch round pans.

Sift together 5 cups flour, baking powder, baking soda and baking cocoa. Set aside.

Slice the margarine into 1 1/2 inch pieces. Stir in sugar and sugar pieces, pressing down. Stir in flour mixture and baking cocoa mixture. Roll pieces into patties using a pastry blender or by using a pastry bag fitted with a doughnut cutter.

Place 1/3 cup pecans around the circumference of patties. Roll patties in pecans to within 1 inch of the edge of the pan. Place patties in pans.

Bake patties in preheated oven for 20 minutes. The longer they are in the oven, the firm they will draw from the excess moisture. Brush burgers with some frosting from the top of the pan.
