Reese's Horchata Recipe

Ingredients

1/2 pound ground pork sausage

salt and pepper to taste

1/2 cup dry bread crumbs

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

2 tablespoons tomato paste

1 tablespoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon dried onion flakes

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 egg

1 tablespoon butter

1 (8 ounce) can tomato paste

1 (4 ounce) can chopped ripe olives

2 tablespoons margarine, melted

1 tablespoon butter

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon butter

1 teaspoon dried parsley

Directions

Season the ground pork sausage with salt and pepper. Place cheese in a large bowl. Cover and refrigerate about 20 minutes to blend.

Heat the olive oil in a deep saucepan over medium heat. Melt cheese with olive oil, stirring constantly, until all cheese is melted.

Remove sausage from the marinade and roll in bread crumbs. Divide the sausage between 8 individual pieces. Roll down the edges of the pieces, and seal the bottom edges of the pieces.

Spread 3 tablespoons of the sausage mixture over each piece of bread. Roll up the remaining portion of the bread, and cut 1/2 through the middle, forming a rectangle.

Spread 1/2 of the tomato paste over the sandwich pieces. Place the second tablespoon of tomato paste over the cheese. Cover with the bread, and allow it to drip into the tomato paste.

Brush the remaining tomato paste with olive oil, and spread the mixture on top of the sausage and bread. Place olives on the sandwich pieces.

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the olives, olive oil, butter, and butter; stir gently until liquid reaches the bottom of the sandwich pieces. Pour into the large pot over salted water and simmer for about 30 minutes, or until bubbly.

Return sausage to pan. Cook, stirring constantly, until evenly browned. Drain off grease, and return to the pan with the bread and olives. Continue with the egg, salsa, tomato paste, sliced tomatoes, and bread. Mix well and salt and pepper to taste. Cool the sandwich pieces in the pan. Place them in a serving dish, and cover with the tomato sauce.

Carefully transfer the sandwiches to a serving bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate overnight.
