1 cup mashed banana
1 cup frozen green beans (nestled leaves mean fresh if green beans are stored in a cool, dry place)
1 cup frozen nonfat cottage cheese
1 cup frozen mixed berries (I used frozen mixed nuts, but fresh berries can be as long as 2 cups)
1 cup frozen tahini
2/3 cup skim milk powder
1/2 cup generous serving of fruit smoothie mix
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
In a blender, combine bananas, beans, cottage cheese, berries, tahini, and skim milk. Process until smooth but still be firm. Transfer to a serving bowl, gently shake in a blender, and pour over smoothie. Chill until serving.
Found this recipe and it is AWESOME! Unfortunately, as written, there isn't much of a flavor or color difference aside from slightly better smelling and tasting the strawberries. Since we only had 14 ounces of strawberries, I didn't (and don't think we should have) and did damage my precious ones. I made a few changes for the better:)
