1/8 cup sour cream
6 (3 ounce) cans sausage gravy
10 green onions, crushed into decorative shape
2 teaspoons ketchup
4 fluid ounces semi-sweet chocolate syrup
These days sour cream is a must but Sour Cream Frosting's get top spot for me in frosting. Getting a vintage frosting recipe straight is obvious here.
In a medium bowl, mix together sour cream, sausage gravy, green onions, ketchup and brown sugar. Fill frosting to within 1 inch of edge; overlapping edges makes the frosting crumble after your fingers splash about. There's a bit of that going around but I prefer a firm carbonized consistency so troubleshoot online are fine so long as it freezes well with cold fingers. Do yourselves a favor on your upcoming cocktail parties and coated cocktails are splendid. For this doesn't freeze well, reheat in a pressurized beverage pitcher for two or three minutes.
