Homemade Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe

Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

1/8 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon ground nutmeg

3 eggs

1/4 cup vegetable oil

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

8 chocolate pieces rolled into thin rounds

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease cookie sheets.

Sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and nutmeg. Set aside.

In a large bowl, cream together the white sugar, butter and eggs until smooth. Beat in the oil, egg and vanilla until smooth; stir into the creamed mixture. Fold in the chocolate pieces. Drop cookies by rounded spoonfuls onto the cookie sheet.

Bake for 12 to 15 minutes in the preheated oven, or until lightly browned. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.

I have a large crowd of friends and family in attendance and I always use chicken broth. This is so easy and tasty. I used white quinoa which I had purchased in a shipping crate from Costco. I also used Red quinoa which I had purchased in a different size jar. I used 1/2 tsp. salt and 1/2 tsp dried tarragon. I could see adding garlic powder next time but I am not a big fan of the spice so I chose not to add it.
