1 (5 ounce) package frozen mixed vegetables, thawed
1 1/2 teaspoons vegetable oil
3/4 cup chopped onion
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon white sugar
1 tablespoon marzipan extract
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 cup packed light cream
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, warm the oil and onions, stirring occasionally, until the oils of the onions are completely melted.
In a medium saucepan warm the sugar, marzipan, cream cheese and remaining oil over medium heat. Saute slightly until the sugar is completely dissolved. Mix the cream cheese slightly into the mixture, then fold in the onion and garlic. Spoon onto large plates and serve hot.
