Vanilla Ice Cream Recipe

Ingredients

1 (15 ounce) can sliced peaches, drained

1 (3 ounce) can sliced dates

3 tablespoons butter

1 tablespoon all-purpose flour

1 cup white sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 (1 ounce) squares unsweetened chocolate

Directions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Line a medium muffin pan with parchment paper.

In a small saucepan, combine peaches, dates, and butter. Place over medium heat; cook, stirring constantly, until peaches and dates begin to curl and turn golden. Remove from heat and allow to cool completely.

In a large bowl, cream together the flour, sugar, and vanilla. Stir in the cream, peaches, dates, and butter. Cover, and refrigerate about an hour.

Spread peaches and dates over the bottoms of muffin cups. Place chocolate in the center of each cup, and roll up. Fill muffin cups with peaches and dates.

Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes. During this time, sprinkle chocolate onto the tops of cups to help keep them from browning too quickly.

We are planning on making this again and again! The first time I made it I didn't have honey in the fridge so I didn't measure out the powder but it was pretty thin so I'll be making it again. It's really simple to make and tastes great! I did add a whole egg to the top and call it quality coffee. I really like the coffee and would have made it again!
