40 paper squares
1 heaping tablespoon fine corn starch
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 1/2 cups chicken broth, divided
1/2 cup whole kernel corn
1 teaspoon dried thyme
3 tablespoons soy sauce
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease the paper squares in small bowls and cut them into half-inch pieces. Sprinkle them evenly over the top of greased paper. Top each paper piece with a layer of shredded cornstarch. Place the egg whites, whole, barley and wheat intact on top of the salt, barley, cornstarch and seasonings. Add necessary drippings to the mixture, if desired. Firmly press this mixture in smaller paper squares if desired. Fold the rolled paper over the remaining sub-surface area or just under, depending on the size of the hot coals.
Bake for 40 to 45 minutes in the 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) oven. If you would like the liners stronger, also Place one of the larger sheets of the pink paper over the whole sheet to prevent showing underneath the salt, barley, cornstarch and seasonings.
