THANK YOU!!! This is literally the first time i have ever returned a recipe, and i was not disappointed. I made the recipe as published, and as posted, and asedirantly as well. I was not convinced that it was worth the effort required to make the dough, and did not bother with the salt and pepper. What a treat. I have made similar recipes from other websites, so I was not sure if this was a flake or a unique recipe. I did the following:

This is one of the best ways to make pretzels! I substituted powdered apple pie spice for the cornstarch, and it turned out with remarkable ease and no discernible taste or texture. Just make sure you are very gentle with the salt and pepper when frying, as it will burn. Just a side note, I have a similar recipe that makes just 2 cups of regular soda, so I put the powdered soda in that proportion instead. I believe that 4 cups soda is just about the right amount. I have made this several times, only changing one thing: I put the dry rub on top before dipping, then the hot cheese and onion mixture, and lastly, I added the parsley. It worked extremely well, and I enjoyed this unique recipe. Thanks for sharing!

I see where this is going... I make a Thai Vegetable Soup and I add coconut milk, and it turns out great! I made a meat soup and added some garlic and it turned out great as well! These are great ways to use up fat from a dish, and I always love to have a healthy lunch - whether it be from a bag of frozen peas or a bag of raw peanuts.
