1 pound lean ground beef
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 tablespoon garlic powder
2 tablespoons dried oregano
2 teaspoons minced garlic
1/8 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
1/4 teaspoon dried cumin
1 teaspoon granulated sugar
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
ground black pepper to taste
white sugar to taste
3 tablespoons cornstarch
In a large pot over medium heat, combine flour, lemon juice, salt, flour, herbs, garlic powder, oregano, garlic, cayenne, cumin and pepper. Let stand 5 minutes. Mix in cornstarch.
Bring to a boil and stirring until mixture is thickened. Reduce heat to low. Cook, stirring, until thickened. Serve over cooked matzo and parsley.
