Best Brown Pudding Recipe

Ingredients

1/2 cup butter

1/2 cup packed brown sugar

2 eggs

2 tablespoons cornstarch

2 tablespoons white sugar

3 cups white sugar for decoration

Directions

In a medium saucepan, combine brown sugar, eggs, cornstarch, and white sugar. Cook over medium heat, stirring, until mixture boils. Reduce heat to medium-low and continue stirring until mixture comes to a full boil. Remove from heat.

Pour brown gravy mixture into a large bowl. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Return brown pudding to refrigerator overnight.

Unfortunately my husband did not participate in this recipe. The directions said to beat two eggs with 1 Tablespoon salt, but I found that the salt barely effected the texture of the crust. Instead I used paper clip and waited for it to solidify. I did press it up the sides about an inch & 1/2. I did press the bottom about an inch & 1/2. Both were eaten by family and friends in less than a day!
