Egg Strawberry Crisp Recipe

Ingredients

1 1/4 cups fresh strawberry jam

2 tablespoons white sugar

1/2 cup white sugar

1 egg, beaten

6 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 cup butter

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Directions

Combine strawberries and sugar in small bowl. Add remaining 1/2 cup sugar, beat well. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.

Unwrap mixture and crack egg white into mixture; pour over bread. Bake in preheated oven for 30 to 45 minutes.

Transfer bread to medium baking dish. Bake for 1 hour in preheated oven. Toss with whipped cream before serving. Garnish with sliced strawberries and cracker crumbs. Serve warm or cold.
