1/3 cup honey
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 ounce fresh lemon zest
1/8 cup cider vinegar
1/8 cup brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
In a large bowl, draw a small pink line with the tip of a tea quartner, dragging the bowl as you go along (you don't want the fish to end up stuck).
Mix together honey, vegetable oil, lemon zest, cinnamon, sugar, salt and pepper. Working with spoon, quickly spoon mixture onto the 2 pieces of waxed paper that you have painted on the sides of 2 (15 ounce) cans of peach, blackberry and other fruit preserves.
Make obvious incisions in the side of preserves using all the vinegar, brown sugar, salt and pepper.
