4 eggs
2 cups milk
1 cup butter, softened
3 tablespoons white sugar
3 tablespoons baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups peanut butter
2 cups brown sugar
1 cup vegetable oil
1 cup white sugar for decoration
1 (16 ounce) package white frosting
1 vanilla bean
2 tablespoons orange marmalade
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour 2 (8 ounce) pans.
In a large bowl, beat eggs and milk together. Stir in melted butter, sugar and baking powder. Spread mixture in the bottom of each prepared pan.
In a separate bowl, beat together peanut butter, 2 cups brown sugar, vegetable oil and white sugar. Stir this mixture into the egg mixture, then pour into a 5-inch-square pan.
Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until tops are golden. Cool completely before frosting with white frosting.
Frost top of cake with marmalade. Fade remaining icing on top and frost top and sides with orange marmalade. Cut right between layers to create slit on bottom. Chill in refrigerator.
