1/3 cup butter or margarine
1 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup rolled oats
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup raisins
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup chopped pecans
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets.
Spread brown sugar on both sides of the cookie sheet. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
To make the brown sugar glaze: Combine 1/3 cup butter, brown sugar, vanilla and baking soda in a large bowl. Stir together the rolled oats, brown sugar, raisins, chopped walnuts and pecans. Stir into brown sugar glaze; mix well. Pour mixture into chilled cookie sheet; flatten cookie with fork.
