Cranberry Jam Recipe

Ingredients

2 cups cranberry sauce

4 cups white sugar

1 cup corn syrup

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon ground ginger

1 cup chopped black walnuts

8 cups milk chocolate candy

Directions

In a medium bowl, mix cranberry sauce and sugar. Use a slotted spoon to blend this mixture with the cranberry juice mixture. Stir in corn syrup, vanilla extract, salt, ginger and nuts.

Pour cranberry sauce mixture into a metal serving bowl or bowl. Place cranberry candy bars in the bowl.

This was easy & yummy! I always prefer a jam sauce that doesn't contain eggs & milk, so I was a little disappointed that this was the only recipe to NOT include eggs & milk, & I ended up throwing in a bit of soy & rice to keep it interesting, & inclusion, & I'll include some to spice it up more next time,& perhaps spray it with greek yogurt & cayenne pepper if I have some to use up.

For being so easy (and quick) to make, this is the BEST jam ever! Made it for Christmas dinner, and everyone loved it. It is so easy to make, and is good on day 2 if you are looking to cut fat. If you are trying to lose weight, this might just be the thing! Thanks for sharing!

This was a fantastic jam and a great easy way to make strawberry jams. A friend gave me a similar idea and I followed suit, using my fresh strawberries. The only change I made was that I added 2 tsp. of vanilla and 2 tsp. of lemon juice. The magic of fresh strawberries, I swear, I'll never get around eating them!
