1 pound skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
1 egg
1 cup oil for deep frying
1 (16 ounce) package pre-cooked French onion strips
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Place chicken in a large resealable plastic bag; discard bag. Place egg in bag with chicken. Heat oil in deep-fryer to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Fry chicken one at a time, being sure to pluck each from the bottom of the bag. Fry five at a time, continuing to fry until no longer pink and slightly golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
Shape chicken inside bagette into desired shape. Place for sandwich in sandwich bag or paper bag and shake to seal shape. Serve hot with bread or crackers or whatever.
