Pecan Pie VIII Recipe

Ingredients

1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup white sugar

1 egg

1/2 cup vegetable oil

2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 cup chopped pecans

1 cup sliced almonds

1 cup chopped pecans

1 cup chopped almonds

3 tablespoons butter

1 tablespoon honey

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

In a medium bowl, cream together the cream cheese, sugar and egg until smooth. Beat in the oil, flour, baking powder and pecans. Mix in the almonds, pecans, almonds and pecans.

Arrange pecans in the bottom of a 9 inch tart pan. Place pecans on top of pecan crust.

Bake in preheated oven for 60 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in center of pie comes out clean. Remove pecan crust and layer cream cheese mixture with pecans. Garnish with chopped pecans.

Place pecan mixture in oven approximately 60 minutes, or until filling is bubbly and filling is set.

Return pie to oven for an additional 30 minutes. Remove pecan crust and sprinkle with remaining pecans. Cool completely before cutting into squares.
