2 1/2 cups unsalted butter
2 1/4 cups shortening
1 cup packed light brown sugar
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
1 cup sour cream
4 cups fresh strawberries, halved
12 scoops fresh lemon flavored lemonade
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a medium bowl, cream together the butter, shortening and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in the cream of tartar and lemon. Mix in the sour cream and crushed strawberries. Spread the mixture onto the bottom of a greased 6x9 inch jelly roll pan. Refrigerate overnight.
Cut into bars when cool. Roll in whipped lemonade to make a pattern. Place within a plastic bag. Decorate with lemon or lemon zest.
