4 tablespoons butter
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup white sugar
1 egg, lightly beaten
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Sift together the flour, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract. Set aside.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter and white sugar until smooth and golden. Beat in the egg, one at a time, mixing well after each. Blend in the flour mixture by gradually pouring it in until batter is top thick.
Using a removable glass or silicone bowl, stir together the lemon juice and lemon rinsing compound. Pour into a 9x13 inch baking dish.
Bake uncovered in the preheated oven for 20-30 minutes in the preheated oven. Remove from oven and sprinkle with cinnamon, brown sugar, lemon peel, raspberry heart or other fruit juice. Refrigerate until serving.
