2 (10 ounce) strips bacon, cooked and crumbled

4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves

1 cup peaches, drained

1/4 cup margarine

1/2 cup packed brown sugar

1/4 cup margarine

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

2 teaspoons salt

1 cup milk

1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). In a large bowl, thoroughly mix bacon, chicken and peaches. Coat chicken breasts with the mixture, and set aside.

In a large bowl, combine the margarine, brown sugar, margarine, flour, salt and milk. Mix well. Pour chicken mixture into the bottom of a 1 1/2 quart casserole dish. Put the bacon skin side up and drizzle with the peaches and syrup.

Bake uncovered at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for about 1 hour, or until chicken is completely cooked through and juices run clear.

This is not an enjoyable sauce to use on meat. It would seem to cook down too quickly and absorb too much of the food. It is a great base but isnt needed. My Dallas Style Redundant Turkey sauce is better.
