Almond Bars Recipe

Ingredients

3 cups all-purpose flour

4 teaspoons baking powder

1 tablespoon baking soda

2 teaspoons almond extract

1/2 cup white sugar

2 tablespoons butter or margarine

1 cup chopped almonds

1/4 cup chopped lemons

2 tablespoons lemon juice

2 tablespoons coffee-flavored liqueur

1 cup unsalted butter, melted

2 ounces semisweet chocolate pieces

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line 3 1/2 pint pans with foil. Place all ingredients into the crusts.

Bake in preheated oven for 1 hour, or until the bars are lightly browned. Cool completely on wire rack (use a wooden cutting board to help keep the edges of the bars from cutting). Cut bars into bars. Serve warm or cold. Cool completely.

I washed and dried the chicken breasts in lactic soda/water and put them into their own salt water. I also made this broth/stock and shared it liberally throughout the sauce. Just to add a reccomendation I used RAWhide pie Crumbs which added great flavor. Next time I will add garlic powder when Iuse the pecans.
