Crab-Bean Pizzelle Recipe

Ingredients

1 pound crabmeat ( Polish sausage, or onion, if desired)

1 french onion, sliced

1 red bell pepper, sliced

1 green bell pepper, sliced

1 (10 ounce) package frozen yellow cottage cheese, thawed

3 cups cooked crabmeat

1 pound shredded Cheddar cheese

1 quart mayonnaise

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

In a large skillet over medium heat, brown each slice of onion and red pepper together, leaving a start of pepper to coat all slices.

Place cooked crabmeat in a 1 quart oblong baking dish. Pour mayonnaise over the crabmeat and sprinkle with cheese.

Bake uncovered at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 30 to 45 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

Meanwhile, spread prepared crust over the crabmeat. Arrange slices of Cheddar cheese on the top and place pieces of crabmeat in the center of the layers. Add mayonnaise to the left of the plate, blend well, spoon into cups. Garnish with almonds.

Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for about 30 minutes, or until bubbly and parchment lined. Serve hot with egg and wine sauce.
