2 cups chewy wheat cereal cereal
1 egg
1/2 cup white sugar
1/4 cup water
3/4 cup vegetable oil
2 cups flaked coconut
1 egg white, beaten
salt to taste
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
In a large saucepan, melt cereal and add egg; mix well. Bring to a boil and cook 2 minutes, until thick. Stir in sugar; cook for another minute. Stir in water, and pour over the cereal.
Bake for 15 to 20 minutes in the preheated oven. Dip low loafs in the cereal mixture to coat ; sprinkle with salt to taste.
