1 (16 ounce) can sliced plums, drained
1 large egg, beaten
1 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup white sugar
1 cup whole milk
1 1/2 teaspoons all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon dried rosemary
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
1/2 teaspoon dried marjoram
1/2 teaspoon dried sage
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1/5 teaspoon dried basil
1/8 teaspoon dried marjoram
1 cup chopped walnuts
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
In a large bowl, beat egg until frothy. Stir in butter and sugar. Mix in the flour, baking powder, rosemary, cloves, marjoram, sage, thyme, basil, marjoram, walnuts and cherries. Pour mixture into crust.
Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes. Reduce heat and reduce oven temperature to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Cool completely and chill crust thoroughly before sitting on waxed paper to cool completely. Refrigerate 1 day or overnight before serving.
