1 cup butter
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup long grain rice
4 pork chops
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 teaspoon white sugar
2 teaspoons salt
1 cup cranberries, pecans or apples
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Melt butter in a large microwave-safe bowl over medium heat. Stir together flour, rice and oil. Mix in sugar, salt and cranberries. Continue stirring 3 minutes.
Place pork chops in a large bowl or rack. Mix with oil, brown sugar and salt and pour into the skillet. Saute about 5 minutes on each side or until browned. Serve hot or cold. If desired, garnish with cranberries, apples and sugar syrup.
