1 cup all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups rolled oats
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon white sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup confectioners' sugar
2 cups flour
3/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Lift 1 cup of cornmeal from oven. Then stir in oats, salt, and sugar.
In a large bowl,
beat eggs, one at a time, until dry. Add confectioners and flour; continue beating until just moist. Stir in melted butter or margarine; continue to beat until well mixed. Stir in vanilla. Pour batter into pastry shell.
Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes.
