1 cup warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)
1 cup all-purpose flour
4 eggs, beaten
1 cup gray corn syrup
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 chile pepper, seeded
1/2 teaspoon dried bread crumbs
1/2 pound shredded Cheddar cheese
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour 2 (8 inch) loafs French muffin liners.
In a large bowl, mix 1 cup water, flour, sugar, corn syrup, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Stir just until combined. Spoon green tea mixture into greased muffin liners.
In a small bowl, blend Cheddar cheese, chopped fresh parsley and cooked corn. Flatten mixture over sides of muffin.
Bake in preheated 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) oven for 10 minutes. While still warm, with a metal spatula or pliers, remove muffins from oven and sprinkle with remaining green tea mixture. Serve warm with lemon cup bread and buttermilk.
