Stuffed Cow with Bacon Recipe

Ingredients

4 tablespoons butter

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon minced onions

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon dried thyme

3 teaspoons dried basil

1/4 teaspoon dried sage

2 strips bacon

1/4 cup olive oil

8 ounces cheese, diced

1 tablespoon tomato paste

1 tablespoon minced onion

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon dried basil

1 dash Worcestershire sauce

Directions

Melt butter in a large skillet over high heat. Saute onion and garlic until golden brown. Add onions to skillet. Gradually stir in salt and paprika; cook, stirring constantly, over medium heat about 1 minute. Stir in bacon and olive oil; cook, stirring constantly, about 5 minutes or until bacon is crispy.

Whisk in cheese, tomato paste, onion, olive oil, bacon and olive oil; cook, stirring constantly, about 1 minute. Mix in tomato paste and onion; cook, stirring occasionally, about 5 minutes.

Stir tomato paste mixture into skillet. Cook over low heat about 5 minutes, stirring frequently. Reduce heat to medium-low; cook, stirring occasionally, about 2 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in cheese mixture.

Return skillet to medium heat. Cook about 5 minutes or until cheese mixture is bubbly and thickened.

Remove skillet from heat. Mix in tomato paste mixture and olive oil; stir into bacon and cheese mixture. Spoon into 8-inch square baking pan or serving dish. Cover and chill until chilled.

Meanwhile, in a small bowl, mix olive oil, tomato paste, onion, olive oil, bacon and olive oil. Mix well. Drizzle cheese mixture over prepared dish. Cover and refrigerate at least 4 hours or overnight.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Bake covered for 1 hour in preheated oven, or until bubbly and golden brown. Remove cover and bake an additional 10 minutes, or until cheese mixture is bubbly and thickened. Cool completely.

Stuff cheese mixture with half of the bacon strips. Cut remaining strips into 1 inch cubes. Dip bacon strips into cheese mixture. Roll up bacon strips. Cut up remaining strips. Place stuffed bacon strips on bottom. Brush with remaining butter and 1/4 cup olive oil. Brush with remaining 1/4 cup olive oil. Brush with remaining 1 tablespoon lemon juice. Brush with remaining 1 tablespoon olive oil.

Heat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Bake an additional 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
