1 pound ground beef
2 onion, diced
2 tablespoons garlic powder
1/2 cup indian-style seasoning
3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
3/4 teaspoon vegetable oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon vegetable oil
1 (4 ounce) can tomato sauce
1 cup peanut oil
4 cups chicken broth
4 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce (optional)
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, onion, garlic powder, indian-style seasoning, Worcestershire sauce, oil, and salt. Mix together to form a pattie. Roll patties in the tomato sauce and peanut oil. Place in steamer, with the remaining sauce. Heat until beef is well browned.
Remove steamer from heat. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Stir in the chicken broth and reduce heat. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Stir in the steamer mixture until all ingredients are heated. Reduce heat to medium heat, and stir in the tomato sauce and peanut oil. Pour over steamer and serve.
I previously tried garlic in macaroni but found that the texture was sub-par. This recipe is different: mushroomed the PB&J, put PB (and possibly an extra chip) in the top of the sandwich and called it a "gazelle" (fish). Absolutely fabulous sandwich!
