Yellow Cream Pie II Recipe


1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar

1/2 teaspoon white sugar

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 egg white

1/2 cup milk

1 cup white sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 (6 ounce) can frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed

1 cup chopped walnuts

1 (9 inch) prepared graham cracker crust


In a medium bowl, cream together cream of tartar and sugar until smooth. Mix in the salt and cinnamon; beat until well blended and well blended. Beat in the egg whites and milk. Fold in sugar, cream of tartar and cinnamon mixture.

Spoon pie mixture into pie crust; fill crust with orange juice concentrate. Top with walnuts.

Bake 30 minutes in the preheated oven. Serve chilled.

This is definately not your grandma's Gorgeous Gorgeous recipe. She used olive oil instead of tomato and found that cooking in water only makes the topping stick better. If you want your gourmet cookie flavor, use dark amber sugar instead of white and sugar instead of flour.

I followed the recipe exactly making only 3 biscuits and using almond milk. Did not matter how many I used, as long as they were large enough to use and sprinkle liberally with fine powder. Did not have dried minced garlic so used a couple of cloves. Will make this again.
