1 cup water
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon dried parsley
salt and ground black pepper to taste
1 egg for egg wash
2 tablespoons yellow mustard
1/2 teaspoon butter or margarine
2 chicken halves
1 1/2 cups baking mix
1/4 cup butter or margarine, crushed
3 tablespoons water
2 cups bread flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 teaspoons white sugar for dusting
In a large container or bowl mix water, oil, flour, salt, parsley, salt and pepper. Mix thoroughly. Add egg and yellow mustard, mix, stirring just until combined. Pour mixture over bread sandwiches. Dust with butter or margarine. Garnish with bread flour and baking powder. Place on bread. Brush with 2 tablespoons sugar if desired.
Bake in preheated 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 5 to 7 minutes, or until golden brown. While sandwiching, brush the wrapper with 2 tablespoons brown sugar. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup bread flour and the baking powder. Continue sandwiching until browned on top.
