Chocolate Brownie Cookies Recipe

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup white sugar

1 cup packed brown sugar

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon salt

1 egg, beaten

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup chopped walnuts

1 1/2 cups butter or margarine, softened

1 cup milk

1 cup boiling water

1 cup chopped almonds

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets.

In a large bowl, cream together the flour and sugar until smooth; beat in the brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Stir in the egg, vanilla extract and chopped nuts. Set aside.

Divide dough into 4 pieces. Roll pieces into 1 inch balls. Place each ball on the cookie sheet. Place cookie pieces flat against the bottom of the cookie sheet. Cover with 1 teaspoon butter, 2 cups milk, and 1/4 teaspoon salt, then pipe icing on top.

Bake for 10 to 12 minutes in the preheated oven, until completely browned. Cool cookies on wire racks. Cool completely. Store in refrigerator.

The premade recipe made enough to feed my family for a couple of days, but since I was short on time I microwaved the heck out of my packages of Oreos. Oreos aren't really my thing, but this is far far more pleasant and nutty than any CCMix recipes. The texture is wonderful--psych!
