3 1/2 cups chopped nuts
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon milk
1 cup delicious, orange flavored shortening
1 cup packed light brown sugar
1 (3 ounce) package white chocolate cookies
Place the nuts and the baking powder in the top of a double boiler or in a candy thermometer cup. Weave in 1 egg and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Stir to bring the mixture to a rolling, whirl square. Roll the dough into 2 inch squares or long cookies.
Place the sifted nuts onto the cookies. Roll edges of cookies into round shapes. Place cookies 1 inch apart onto ungreased cookie sheets. Drizzle chocolate evenly with 1/2 cup of the white sugar. Cover cookies with aluminum foil.
