1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup white sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 egg
Butter the bottom of a 9 inch springform pan.
In a large bowl, cream together the white sugar and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs, one at a time. Beat in the butter, one at a time, mixing just until incorporated. When the mixture is all blended, pour into the pan and arrange in the pan.
Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Cool completely in pan.
