1 (3 pound) whole chicken, cut into pieces
1 (3 ounce) package Italian-style dressing mix
1/2 teaspoon paprika
Place chicken pieces in oven with enough water to cover. Cover, and cook over medium heat for 20 minutes so that chicken is browned. Remove chicken from oven and let sit in a casserole dish for 30 minutes. Pour dressing mix over chicken pieces. Place chicken back into oven and cook over medium heat for 30 minutes, turning every 8 to 10 minutes. Remove chicken from oven and place in a plate. Heat remaining water to cover chicken. Cool, and peel off skin. Measure (in a bowl, mix together chicken, dressing mix, and paprika) and arrange over chicken. Roll chicken up, using a sharp knife or fresh cutlery to cut into 1 inch pieces. Cover tightly with aluminum foil.
Bake cold chicken in preheated oven for 30 minutes, turning once. Remove foil from chicken and spread chicken pieces over bottom of casserole dish. Repeat with remaining ingredients. Cook 10 minutes, or until chicken is no longer pink. Serve warm.
