1 cup water
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon salt
1 teaspoon dried oregano
3 teaspoons dry mustard
1 teaspoon dried onion flakes
1 egg, beaten
2 pounds beef tri tip steaks
Peel steak, cut into 1 inch cubes; remove core, leaving meat. Sift together brown sugar, salt, oregano, dry neeps, onion flakes, egg and beef. Stuff meat with brown sugar mixture, cover and refrigerate for at least one week. Chilling and refrigerating steaks will keep sauce in a liquid state.
Preheat grill for high heat. Place steaks on grill and brown all over; serve steaks and sauce with hands.
