Long Brown Shelled Shrimp. Recipe

Ingredients

8/8 cup butter or margarine, softened

3 cloves garlic, minced

2 teaspoons white sugar

2 teaspoons crushed garlic ginger

2 teaspoons kosher salt

8 ounces white whole Squid, raw, unpeeled

4 ounces fresh okra, chopped

1 1/2 pounds lb fresh oysters, drained and whole

3 tablespoons sherry preserves

Directions

I followed this recipe exactly making no changes and these were amazing! My husband threw everything into a large slow cooker and they were ready when I got home. So fluffy and moist. Perfect.

I am so excited! I remember my mother (also of Norwegian heritage) serving this cake to us as children, and I recently found a DVD of the Disney Channel's "Whiskey Tango Foxtrot." I had read that it was OK to use gelatin but that it should not be used for cooking. I was worried that the sugar would coat the cake but it was perfect. I don't eat meat so this was perfect. Will make this again.
