1/2 cup butter
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
7 slices fresh peaches, pitted and sliced
1 cup chopped peanuts
Preheat oven to 450 degrees F (220 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets.
Beat butter, eggs and vanilla together in a small bowl. Stir in flour, baking soda, salt, nutmeg and peaches. Press into the prepared cookie sheet.
Bake for 11 to 13 minutes in the preheated oven, until golden. Remove from cookie sheet to cool completely.
In a medium bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, salt and nutmeg; stir into the peaches, peanuts and peaches. Mix thoroughly.
