1 cup cooked and mashed potatoes
3 cups water
3 teaspoons salt
4 teaspoons instant tea powder
1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
1 1/2 cups milk
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Combine potatoes and water in a heavy saucepan and bring to a boil. Cook, tossing occasionally, until potatoes start to soften, 1 to 2 minutes. Cool and mash. Stir in tea, sugar and milk. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium low and let boil for 1 minute; stir in potatoes and boil 2 minutes more. Add salt and tea; simmer, covered, 2, 15.
Puree potatoes and water in a blender or food processor. Return mixture to pot and stir in brown sugar, 1/2 cup milk, and 2 teaspoons salt. Simmer 1 minute.
Pour milk into heated potato mixture, adding one teaspoon at a time, to achieve desired consistency. Serve hot.
I made this quick, easy appetizer for a party and they disappeared very quickly. Several people asked me for the recipe. I would definetly make it again.
