Nesquam Tuna Soup Recipe

Ingredients

1/3 cup butter

1/3 cup all-purpose flour

2 tablespoons hot or sour sauce

2 tablespoons dried minced onion

1 teaspoon dried minced green bell pepper

1/2 teaspoon dried minced jalapeno pepper

1 cup finely chopped celery

1 1/2 cups uncooked white rice

1 1/2 cups diced celery

1 cup halved fresh mushrooms

1 tablespoon all-purpose flour

salt and pepper to taste

Directions

In a medium saucepan, melt butter and rapidly add flour. Mix thoroughly.

Stir in hot or sour sauce, onion and bell pepper. Continue stirring over medium heat until thickened.

Add celery and mushrooms; stir into soup mixture. Stir in cauliflower and mushrooms.

Add rice, celery and oregano.

Season with flour, salt and pepper. Slow pour or stir, using hands or paprika. Stirring constantly, stir into soup mixture until there is clear liquid.
