1/4 cup butter, softened
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups shortening
1 cup rolled oats
3 eggs
3/4 cup rhubarb honey
2 teaspoons almond extract (optional)
2 cups rolled oats

1/2 cup dried golden raisins
3/4 cup crushed unripe fruit (optional)
In a small bowl, stir together 1/4 cup butter, flour and salt with a fork until smooth.
In a large bowl, cream together shortening and oats until well blended. Beat in sugar and almond extract until well blended. Stir in banana. Stir in to wet ingredients. Stir in raisins and semi-sweet chocolate chips. Spread evenly in a greased and floured baking pan.
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes in the preheated oven, until firm and firm. Cool completely before cutting into squares.
