Orange Wedding Cake Recipe

Ingredients

2 eggs

1/2 cup white sugar

1/2 cup vegetable oil

1 (21 ounce) can marshmallows

2 (8 ounce) packages vanilla cake mix

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened

1 (3 ounce) package orange flavored Jell-O

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour 2 (9 inch) round pans.

In a large bowl, beat egg whites until foamy. Beat in sugar, oil and marshmallows. Beat in cake mix. Pour batter into prepared pans.

Bake in the preheated oven for 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Cool in pans on wire rack. Chill until serving time.

Right after the initial cool down of the cake, flip the pan upside down to cool completely. Remove cake from pans. Cool cake completely. Chill for several hours in refrigerator. Make Frosting: In a large bowl, beat cream cheese until fluffy. Beat cream cheese mixture into cooled and refrigerated cake batter. Frost with remaining 1/2 cup cake batter and frost with remaining jelly.
